Student Representatives ('Fachschaft')
Dear current and future students!
We, the student representatives of the Institute of Indology and Tibetology, are the link between teachers and students. We represent you and your interests within our institute. We organise events such as summer and Christmas parties as well as a pub night for students (around every 6-8 weeks), or also larger events, such as the 150th anniversary of our institute in the summer of 2018. We also represent you in university politics and your contacts for organisational matters, general questions and suggestions for improving your studies. Via our email distribution list (indologie@fs.lmu.de) you will regularly receive information about interesting lectures, job offers, pub night dates etc.
The student reps ("Fachschaft") are nominated by the student body every year in the summer, and are then up for election in the university elections. Our student council works together with the Institute of Sinology and is therefore officially called SIT (Student Council for Sinology, Indology, Tibetology).
