The official name of our student council is Fachschaft Sinologie/Indologie/Tibetologie (SIT). This is a joint student body of the B.A. in Sinology (Institute of Sinology), the B.A. in Buddhist and South Asian Studies (Institute of Indology and Tibetology) and the joint M.A. in Religion and Philosophy in Asia. We take care of interdisciplinary tasks together and subject-specific tasks on our own. Three of the five elected representatives come from Sinology, two from Indology and Tibetology.

Felix Eckert
I am studying for a BA in Buddhist and South Asian Studies and an MA in Comparative Indo-European Linguistics. I am interested in languages and generally everything linguistic with a focus on Old and Middle Indic (Sanskrit, Prakrit). I particularly enjoy drama and kavya. As a student representative I am responsible for finances and for the organization of parties. You are welcome to ask me any questions you may have about your studies.
Andrea Cornelius
I am studying for a BA in Buddhist and South Asian Studies, with a focus on classical Tibetan and Sanskrit. Professionally, I work in the field of Artificial Intelligence, hence I find topics in the Digital Humanities particularly interesting. I support Felix in his work as student representative and am available for any questions concerning our degree.
Anne-Katharina Pfitzner
I am studying for a BA in Buddhist and South Asian Studies with a minor in LLK (Language, Literature, Culture). I am especially interested in modern Indology, which is why I chose Hindi/Urdu as my first language and Kannada as my second language. As student representative I am responsible for finances and for organizing parties together with Felix and Andrea.
